Home Use of NCDesk

NCDesk can be downloaded on your home computer, NCDesk provides a web site with additional information about downloading and installation.

Downloading NCDesk will provide the ability to do the test simulation.

• The purpose of the test simulation is to give students opportunity to know how to use the program.

• Simulation questions cannot determine how difficult or easy the actual test will be.  

• Extra questions are available to go with the current simulation.

DFirst, install Java 5.0_08 or Java 6.0_02 before installyin NCDesk

• Be sure to look for the JRE when selecting the version of Java
•  Sun's Java 5.0_08is for other versions of Windows (like Windows XP)
•  Sun's Java 6.0_02is for computers with Windows Vista 

Next Install the NCDesk

• NCDesk_Install.exe
• Save this file to your computer

Practice Files

• The Computer Education 8th Grade page contains practice files to save to your computer follow the specific directions for saving.
• Open NCDesk program first, then choose the correct application- Editor, Database, Spreadsheet, E-mail, Windows Manager.
• To open files the application program must be opened first - no exceptions.
